On rare occasion you may experience false alarms.
This may be caused by static electricity or moisture from hot sleepers.
The solution is to use cotton sheets and pyjamas. Cotton does not attract static.
Materials like flannelette and polyester are to be avoided as they may create static electricity.
Also encase the mat is a cotton pillowcase or similar.
This will help stop the static electricity and/or moisture from triggering the alarm.
If one pillowcase does not work then it is ok to add another to create a thicker barrier.
Doing this will not affect the sensitivity of the alarm for when an actual accident occurs.
If you are having trouble, please send us a message to help troubleshoot and solve the issue.
Cleaning and maintaining the mat to maximise it longevity is simple.
Urine is acidic, and also if allowed to dry will form a crust on the circuitry.
It is important to clean the mat after every accident.
After each accident simply rinse the mat with clean water and pat dry.
It is then ready to be used again.
This simple cleaning procedure will help get the maximum life out of your mat.
Replacement mats are available for purchase if your mat wears out,
or if you need to start a new treatment in the future for another child.
